Recovery Coaching

Support on the road out of addiction, from someone who has walked that road himself.

I know addiction from the inside

Alcohol, drugs and a whole range of compulsive behaviors: I was hooked on just about everything a person can get hooked on. My addiction took me to some very dark places and left a lot of wreckage behind, for me and for others.

By the grace of God and through the Twelve Steps, I have been clean and sober for more than 42 years, one day at a time. Long-term recovery has also meant facing old wounds from my childhood. That road taught me how much safety, patience and honesty real healing needs, and that it is never too late to heal.

What I can offer you

Lived experience

I can meet you where you are, because I have been there. And I can show you what recovery looks like after four decades.

The Twelve Steps, lived

I have worked the Steps for more than 40 years, and I love helping people take them for themselves.

Rebuilding everyday life

Showing up on time, keeping commitments, handling money, communicating honestly: the basics of a new life, practiced step by step.

Structure and healthy boundaries

Real care includes clear agreements and reliability. I can be warm and still hold the line.

An attentive eye

I listen closely and notice early when mood or behavior starts to change, so warning signs of relapse are not missed.

For families

Addiction affects the whole family. Partners, parents and children are welcome to find a listening ear and guidance here too.

Coaching complements, it does not replace

I understand the difference between sponsorship, coaching and clinical treatment. Recovery coaching does not replace medical, psychotherapeutic or addiction treatment, nor a self-help fellowship. It can complement them well, and I am glad to work alongside your treatment team.

If you are in crisis, please call your local emergency number right away (112 in Europe) or reach out to a crisis line in your country.

You don’t have to walk this road alone.
